Affiliation and current position: I’m CTO of an online business as well as the co-founder and vice chairman of another online business in Tehran.

Relevant qualifications: I’ve been interested in the DNS industry since 15 years ago and always been studying about DNS and DNSSEC.

Motivation for membership in the Caucus: Living and working in Iran where a k-root is located in addition to the emerging market of eBusiness which is directly related to DNS industry
(specially in recent years and afterwards) I think it’s very important to represent my country from the technical community.

Indication of availability: I can spend 10 hours per month to work on documents, social media stuff, arrange miscellaneous stuff and help the caucus in any possible way. I’m also available for
meetings as much as possible.

Motivation: I have worked for 15+ years on various topics related to the security and stability of Internet infrastructure, particularly policy, protocol, and operations around DNS names and IP addresses. I am interested in supporting and extending resiliency, scalability, and transparency in the operations of those systems. RSSAC is in a unique position to promote collaboration between root server operators and others interested in those attributes of the internet infrastructure, with the caucus as the primary mechanism for open, technically informed, effective discussions and recommendations.

Currently 7-10 hours per week total for RSSAC business, up to 20 including my current role as RSSAC liaison to the ICANN Board of Directors.

  I received my Ph.D. degree from National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet  Interconnection Devices at Beijing Jiaotong University. I started working at CNNIC in 2011 and is the Associate Professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since April 2013, I am an Invited Researcher of  Waseda University (Japan). My research interests include DNS, IPv6 and ICN technologies. I have  published more than 50 academic papers on these areas.

  Discussing and researching the optimized management architecture of DNS root service, to make it more  secure, stable, distributed and efficient. Besides, I also hope to broadcast the DNS root server and zone file  management and operation model accurately and fairly in China.
