Working Group Chairs Recognition at ICANN80

As part of our ongoing efforts to acknowledge and celebrate the vital contributions made by our ICANN community volunteers, the ICANN Board of Directors hosted the inaugural ICANN Working Group Chairs Recognition Reception during the ICANN80 Policy Forum on Tuesday, 11 June 2024. At the event, we recognized the dedication, leadership, and tireless efforts of the 19 chairs of the current ICANN working groups that were chartered to develop policy or advice.

Leading a working group demands a considerable amount of time, energy, and patience. From managing complex project timelines to fostering trust and collaboration among a diverse group of stakeholders, the role of a working group chair is both challenging and crucial to the success of our multistakeholder model.

On behalf of the ICANN Board, I thank the ICANN working group chairs for their hard work and commitment to ICANN's mission. Their dedication and ability to navigate the complexities of policy and advice development are truly commendable.
