The Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) welcomes the opportunity to comment on this report and thanks ICANN and the Community for the continued work to develop Reference Label Generation Rules (LGRs). The development and dissemination of additional resources is appreciated and the RySG continues to see the value of Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) to further the goals of competition and consumer choice for internet users globally.
Submission Summary:
The validation test files were reviewed and all valid/invalid labels were as expected. The variant test files were also reviewed. Additional test cases were added and checked extensively. All of the variant generation tests resulted as expected. I take the opprtunity to congratulate the Armenian, Latin, Cyrillic, Japanese, Korean and Myanmar GPs whose LGRs have been integrated in version 5. I would like to stress the good cooperation...
Submission Summary:
I have checked the Devanagari LGR and Gujarati LGR from the point of view of integration of Code-point repertoire, Whole Label Evaluation Rules as well as in-script variants as well as cross-script variants. The rules in the integrated LGR seem to be in consonance with those outlined in both Devanagari and the Gujarati LGR.
Submission Summary:
Korean GP has no particular comment.

The test results validation on using Devanagari test cases/labels are returned as expected.
The integrated script XML LGR (HTML) prepared by the Integration Panel is aligned with the RZ-LGR Devanagari proposal by the Generation Panel.
The in-script variants defined in the script XML LGR (HTML) and the cross-script variants defined in the common RZ-LGR-5 (XML, HTML) are aligned with the GP’s propos...

Submission Summary:
In partial response to the comment by Igor Mkrtumyan of the Armenian GP the IP would like to clarify that U+0587 could not be not included in the repertoire for the Armenian script because it is DISALLOWED in IDNA2008 (see RFC 5892) and therefore not allowed in IDNs. A note to that effect will be placed into the Element LGR to resolve any ambiguities.
Submission Summary:
I have gone through the Combined LGR documents under RZ-LGR-5, and I have the following comments: 1. Although IP has gone through close to 200 users of the Latin Writing system (Ref section 1.1.1.), there may arise situations in the future, where Latinate variants of scripts for languages with already existing indigenous writing systems may throw up special problems of validity and clashes of shapes etc. These are uses of Neo-Latin for specif...
Submission Summary:
For Bangla (Bengali) LGR-5, I would like to address five major issues:
Issue 01: In Bangladesh, at least four languages are written in Bangla script. The names of the languages are Hajong, Koda, Sadri and Manipuri. Among them, Hajong and Sadri have formal educational materials published by Government.
Issue 02: Both a and a are not glyphs and not enlisted in the Unicode code chart. এ্যা is a character or conjunct/combination w...
Submission Summary:
I checked the RZ-LGR-5 and confirm that CGP ruleset remains the same with the part in RZ-LGR-4.
The outputs of the test labels are reasonable and meet my expectation.
Submission Summary:
In summary, the LGR-5 proposal looks good. We would like the IP to take into consideration the cross variant issues identified by the Ethiopic script GP, and make the necessary modifications to reflect our inputs in the final LGR-5 version duly.
Submission Summary:
We have checked the test result for our language, it is match with the rule of our LGR script
Submission Summary:
Having reviewed LGR 5, I'm amazed at the amount of work that has gone into Root Zone Label Generation rules. I'm convinced that this will have a multilingual Internet supporting different scripts other than Latin in the future. I'm sure many will apply for IDNs in the next round, supporting some of the Scripts in the LGR 5 like Sinhala. On behalf of Sinhala GP, I would like to congratulate Dr. Sarmad and Pitinan for their hard work!
Submission Summary:
I fully agree with integration of Cyrillic GP findings and I am happy that our work is finally in root zone rules.
