The ICANN Policy Development Accelerator provides opportunities for newer ICANN community members to build substantive knowledge on a specific policy topic, while fostering value in service and relationships through connections with experienced ICANN community members. The next term will build on the success of a recent pilot term: From October 2022 to May 2023, nearly 20 participants learned about applicant support in the 2012 round of the New Generic Top-Level Domains (gTLD) Program.
The next term will explore the topic of gTLD registration data. Participants will engage with the content through self-paced learning modules and through interactive group discussions with subject matter experts. Beginning in September 2023, participants will receive background summaries, webinar and session recordings, and other relevant resources that will offer historical context and differing points of view. The next term will culminate with a role play project in March 2024.
Newer ICANN community members and alumni of the ICANN Fellowship Program and the NextGen@ICANN Program from all regions and sectors are welcome to join.
