Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

From the perspective of linguistics, the Han script single character IDN gTLD should be based on more recent and informative research. More specific and detailed proposals should be put forward. They should be in line with China's linguistic laws and regulations, and anticipate and avoid potential risks. It is not recommended to open up the Han script single character IDN gTLD until these studies are completed and community consensus is reached.
