New gTLD Program
Information Center
To enable a clearer understanding of the divergent areas of the New gTLD Program, this page is intended as a general resource for those interested in new gTLDs. Containing a plethora of information ranging from the latest to archived materials, the various Draft Applicant Guidebooks, the associated Explanatory Memoranda (current and old versions), and documents on several program-related topics, you will also find tools like the interactive process flow, which gives applicants an overview of all application and evaluation phases, and the SWORD algorithm that will identify potential contentious TLD similarities during the pre-application period.

Note: There were two previously released drafts of the Applicant Guidebook along with a series of explanatory memoranda that were posted for public comments. These materials will help you to understand some of the proposed processes and requirements of applying for a new gTLD and have been organized by corresponding modules per the Applicant Guidebook. Some topics will have more than one explanatory memorandum, so make sure you read the most up-to-date version.
