ICANN Publishes Fiscal Year 2024 Second Quarter Management Financial Results

20 February 2024

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has published its fiscal year 2024 (FY24) second quarter (Q2) management financial results. ICANN also published the FY24 Q2 management financial results for its Public Technical Identifiers (PTI) affiliate.

Funding through December 2023 is flat to budget and the prior year through the same period in FY23.

As introduced in the Draft ICANN FY25 Budget, the quarterly management financial results will now feature Activity Based Reporting to present ICANN Operations' costs in a way that better relates to ICANN's core work and mission. Please review the Draft Budget document for definitions and more details about Activity Based Reporting.

ICANN Operations expenses through December 2023 are higher than budgeted and compared to the same period of last year primarily due to higher than planned costs related to the Community and Engagement activity. This was driven by higher than planned costs for ICANN78, community programs, and meetings support.

These results and other financial documents are available on the ICANN Financial and Planning Information page and the PTI Financial Information page.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
