ICANN today launched a new gTLD Registry Agreement Termination Information Page on icann.org. This webpage will be the source of all current information related to any requests for termination of a gTLD Registry Agreement.

Under the gTLD Registry Agreement, a Registry Operator or ICANN may terminate pursuant to certain requirements. In the event of termination by either party and after consultation with Registry Operator, ICANN shall determine whether or not to transition operation of the Registry to a sucessor registry operator in conformance with the Registry Transition Process.

All relevant documentation, including termination notices from Registry Opertors or ICANN, termination determinations by ICANN, and comments from the community regarding terminations will be published on this webpage for community visibility.

ICANN has published a request from the Doosan Corporation to terminate its .DOOSAN Registry Agreement, and ICANN’s preliminary determination to not transition operations of the Registry to a successor Registry Operator. Interested parties can view the termination request and preliminary determination on the gTLD Registry Agreement Termination Information Page.
