Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization (org) issued a request for proposal (RFP) to identify and select provider(s) of recruiting and consulting services to help and support the Nominating Committee (NomCom) in the recruitment of qualified candidates to fill key leadership positions.
The NomCom is an independent committee tasked with selecting key ICANN leadership positions, including some members of the ICANN Board and the Public Technical Identifiers Board, as well as the At-Large Advisory Committee, the Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council, and the Generic Names Supporting Organization Council. The NomCom is designed to function independently from the Board, the Supporting Organizations, and Advisory Committees.
NomCom delegates act on behalf of the global Internet community and within the scope of the ICANN mission and responsibilities assigned to it by the ICANN Bylaws; they do not act in furtherance of the group that appointed them to the NomCom.
The goal of this project is to support the NomCom in identifying and conducting outreach with potential candidates from all geographical regions in accordance with specific needed competencies.
Through the issuance of this RFP, the ICANN org solicits proposals from qualified suppliers for the provision of the services. For a complete overview of this RFP, including the timeline, please read the Project Overview.
Indications of interest should be emailed to NomCom-Recruiting-Services-rfp@icann.org and provide the following information: 1. Company name; 2. Contact person name; and 3. Contact person email address. Proposals should be electronically submitted using ICANN's sourcing tool by 23:59 UTC on 10 October 2022. Access to this tool may be requested via the same email.
